About Photador
A photographer-made tool for photographers who shoot too many frames.
What we make
Photador AS makes Photador Scout — a wireless link to your Canon body that turns your phone into a scorer, a controller, and a settings keeper for your camera. We're a small company in Norway with one product today and a roadmap of things that will come.
Why we made it
Modern mirrorless cameras shoot forty frames a second. The post-processing pile gets bigger every shoot. We were tired of carrying it home — of culling at 2 a.m. on a laptop instead of in the field, instead of on the road, instead of in the five quiet minutes between two assignments. So we built the thing we wanted to use ourselves: an AI that scores every frame as you shoot, lets you cull at burst speed in the field, and gives you back the hours you used to lose.
AI that respects your photos
We made some choices early. Photador Scout's scoring runs on your phone or in the cloud — your choice in Settings. When you opt into the cloud for higher-precision scoring or a deeper critique, your image travels there, gets processed in memory, and is discarded. It is never stored, never logged, and never used to train any AI model. Not ours, not anyone else's. The trust we want to earn from you is the trust we'd want from a tool that holds our own frames.
Built for international photographers
Photador Scout's app, this website, and the AI-generated Critique are all available in English and Norwegian today.
